The Alex Alexander Memorial Trophy is a a double round robin tournament between all four domestic clubs each year. The team finishing with the highest number of competition points wins the Trophy.

The Alex Alexander Memorial Trophy is also used to seed the teams from 1 to 4 for The Vase and forms part of the Ed Broking Tri Championship.
